Stuart Saves His Family is a 1995 comedy film directed by Harold Ramis, and based on a series of Saturday Night Live sketches from the early-to-mid 1990s. The movie tracks the adventures of would-be self-help guru Stuart Smalley, a creation of writer/comedian/politician Al Franken, as he attempts to save both his deeply troubled family and his low-rated cable access show.

@ryan49er1 Yup, me too! I’m very political, hate Franken as a senator, but love his acting and writing… he’s a very funny guy, and this film proves it. if I can post here without making a political statment, (guess I kinda did already…lol), believe me anyone can! lets keep it light people, please.
Stuart Smalley is the only reason Al Franken should be spared eternal exile from the US. I lol’d at the “we need more senators like him” comment. Yes, we need more senators that disrespectfully give a running commentary on a fellow senator’s speech while they still hold the floor.
