Motivation Techniques: A Question About the Current Torture Debate?

Question by Glen: A question about the current torture debate?
Whether you believe that water boarding is torture, are we suppose to believe that the USA is the only country in the world whose military uses “enhanced interrogation techniques”? I smell political motivation. Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Russia, England and the U.N. dont use these techniques? My list was not meant to be complete, just examples.

Best answer:

Answer by Not For Promotional Use
So the fact that other countries use it makes it ok? LOLOLOLOL.

  • Cheekote says:

yeah but they are not from Texas.

  • Pooh. says:

    It’s in the Constitution

This is America, We dont TORTURE!!

    It’s that easy

  • ABF says:

it doesn’t matter who else uses them. it’s the same argument as, “if all your friends jumped off a bridge (into a morally ambiguous soup of interrogation tactics) would you jump off too?”

  • hereforaparty says:

No doubt every country in the world tortures one way or another. Just don’t get on their list.

  • meekless2001 says:

god and christianity are all about torture, so i think that means it’s ok then

  • Fred says:

Just as the U.S. is one of the few countries that kills its own citizens, I believe that the U.S. is one of the few countries that violates the Geneva Convention on torture.

  • answer man says:

Obama weakens our nation more and more.
    How sad for us.

  • perttierkki says:

lol at this question being demolished in the first answer

  • Sergio_GV1D3 says:

No we are not, somalia does too. Us and them are the only ones that haven’t signed the geneva convetions for that part. But like Smith said “We are not america, we don’t F***ing torture!”

  • IRev. Albert Einstein says:

I think we should waterboard Obama.

  • Eskimo Joe says:

It’s not about who uses which technique, it’s about who gets caught. Torture and amateur photography don’t go together as well as one might think…

  • Dante says:

Sure they do, but they don’t have as many causes to as we have in recent times. But all of South America does that sort of stuff, and the mideast, and asia.

  • reinadelaz says:

It does not matter what countries have violated the Geneva Conventions and other agreements against torture. The US made an agreement and should have stood by that agreement. For crying out loud, we prosecuted war crimes for such things after WW 2. How can we stand such hypocrisy from our own government? We are supposed to be a civilized nation.
BTW, I really think this is in the wrong section, but since you posted here, God bless you.
